I just had a crew from WinFirst working in back yard on the poles instaling the hanger hardware for the new fiber-optic cable system. They already have it up and running in the neighborhood that my wife teaches in and can you say FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It will be probably a year before it is complete in my area but I will be the one of first to get rid of my Pac bell DSL . Not that it is slow but it is not as fast as it once was.
