Today is 7/11 day

Be sure to visit a 7/11 today and pay homage to the Big Gulp, an American tradition.

If you do not have a 7/11 close to your house, say a short prayer to whatever GOD you pay to, and ask for a 7/11 to be built in your town.

All of our 7-11's became Circle K's several years ago. Whaaaaaaaaa.

for some reason there aren't any in houston. you have some in east tex?

I don't see any in East TX either (from 7-11 website), East of Dallas yes but no further out.

Bah...youse guys missed Odd Day...

Odd Day is coming Saturday, 7/9/11. Three consecutive odd numbers make up the date only six times in a century. After 7/9/11, only two days remain in this parade of Odd Days which began with 1/3/5. The previous stretch of dates like this started with 1/3/1905---13 months after the Wright Brothers' flight.

Dear Flying Spaghetti Monster, please do NOT let them open a 7/11 in my town. Or any fast food place. Or a Circle K, or any other type of chain place. Thank you. Oh, and if you can smite the McD's that's about 6 miles from here, that'd be nice.

Bah, that's not worthy of notice by those who like "cool" dates. The only significant "odd" day, in my opinion, was celebrated during my first year of teaching. November 19, 1999. It was the last date where all the digits are odd for over a 1000 years.

The only 7-11's that I know of around here are in the part of town you're likely to get robbed or shot. That aside, they're dirty hovels that I'd rather not eat or drink anything they're selling. I'll pass.
