AnandTech Forums have gone through many changes but October 9, 1999 was the date when FuseTalk was instituted and the earliest date that any current member could have registered.

Yeah, there was the geocities incarnation, and now we're on VB, but it's still appropriate to recognize 10/9/99 because it ties to registration dates for members.

So Happy quasi-Anniversary, AnandTech Forums, and to all you other 10/9/99'ers wherever you are.
