Philosophy
January 10, 1776 - Thomas Paine published his influential pamphlet, ``Common Sense.''

Politics
January 10, 1967 - Massachusetts Republican Edward W. Brooke, the first black elected to the U.S. Senate by popular vote, took his seat.

January 10, 1920, the League of Nations formally comes into being when the Covenant of the League of Nations, ratified by 42 nations in 1919, takes effect.

Technology
January 10, 1992 - Apple announced it would introduce pocket-sized electronic information devices. Although the project had no name at the time, it evolved into Newton, the much-publicized electronic organizer that never caught on with the public. The Newton project marked an important shift in Apple's strategy--from providing free or inexpensive software with high-priced hardware, to selling cheap hardware in order to drive software sales.

I like the posts except for the fact that, at least last time, they always had lots of biased comments in them, especially towards homosexuality.

Today in AMERICAN history...

Good point.

How so?

yeah thomas paine is from england

born in England.

I think that's irrelevant. What does it being American history or any other kind of history have to do with anything?

The fact that those events involved America makes it American History...

Why the need to point that out at all? I'm just wondering why it matters. Your way of making it known makes it seem like you have a problem with it being facts about American history.
