Today I'm one step closer to being awarded my Man Badge

So last night about an hour before bed I had a protein milkshake with a little peanut butter, just for the extra protein. I am lactose intolerant, so in essence I was drinking liquid pain.

Around 12:30 I woke up in severe bloated discomfort, and the room reeked - really REALLY bad. So far, everything I have described is a common experience to most guys, right? Well, last night I finally reached some kind of new, undiscovered pinnacle.

***I actually drove the dog out of the room***

In normal circumstances she would never leave my side, but sometime in the middle of the night she went to sleep in the spare bedroom.

I've never been so proud. Only guys will understand.

If you're lactose intolerant, and you're trying to take protein, but taking it with milk, you're basically stopping your digestive system's ability to properly break down and absorb the protein.

I didn't know that - thanks for the tip. I've been working with a personal trainer for about 4 weeks now, and consuming as much protein as possible. I definitely don't want to waste my time or my (expensive) protein powder.

Buy soy or rice milk, and mix it with that. I personally prefer the taste/texture of rice milk over soy, but soy is a complete protein and will be an additional help. But soy is also estrogenic, last think you want while working out. You could get both and mix all 3 together. 🙂

no need to wonder why the story doesn't include another person in the bed.

The wife claims she slept through the whole ordeal.

She probably was knocked unconcious. 🙁 Fart-induced-coma...
