So sorry for the loss or your beloved pet and friend. Hopefully, you can get some relief from the following words:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together, never to be seperated again...

Dude, he's not 5.

Dude, you don't have to be 5 to be really affected by the loss of a pet. Sometimes kind (albiet cheesy) words help reassure people.

Actually, its why were looking at puppies already🙂 Its sad yes, but he gave us so much, and asked for so little...

Sorry for your loss.

I have a dog now after only having Cats all my life and will hate it when it comes his time.

Edit: I added Tyson to the Memorials page on one of my websites:

slick230, I appreciate the thought, it does help and means alot to me when folks think enough to post encouraging words...thanks🙂, I did laugh at Jehovah's comment however, for some reason I hear Phil Hartman's voice when I read it.
Dave, thanks for including Tyson in your memorial page, thats nice. Thanks everybody for the nice comments and thoughts, I appreciate it.

I am sorry to hear about your loss. I am not looking forward to the day when my Cat "Oreo" passes away. After my divorce, he is one of the only true friends I have left in this world...

Sorry to hear that. 🙁 did you have to put him down?

A friend's german shepard is dying of cancer as we speak. Last couple days became very bloated from all the internal bleeding, can't really move anymore and will probably die today, and if not, may be put to sleep. 🙁

did you have to put him down?

Yea, my wifes cousin works in a vet hospital. The folks at Rock Creek animal hospital are very kind and caring, which makes a big difference when the time comes.
