A little bird flies into where I'm working. Sparrows do that all the time so no big deal. Eventually he perched near enough to me that I had a good look at him and I realized I had no idea what he was. I figured a warbler or wren, but exactly what I had no idea. I was able to take a couple minutes and determined he was a black-headed green warbler. Here is what one looks like.
Trying to catch him wasn't possible so he just flew around and around. After many hours of this I noticed he didn't fly high or far. He was beat. I took the opportunity and managed to get a basket over him and some cardboard underneath and took him out back. I think he'll be ok, and to my kids I'll be the hero of the day
