Well this is a sad day for all European Countries including UK, but we can learn from this and make things better for the future. We all EU members have to recognize and understand the reasons that made UK citizens vote to leave the EU and make sure we change things.
EU citizens should wake up and start demanding a big change within the EU, we dont want a EU that UK or any other European country doesnt want to be part of this big family.
I dont know if those in the EU parliament really make their best for the interests of all EU citizens or are just following agendas left and right. This thing has to change now, UK leaving the EU signals the end of the EU idea Europeans had for a single united Europe, even if EU will continue exist as a union without the UK. We EU Citizens should make it clear that we want UK and all other EU members within the EU, people in Brussels should open their eyes and ears and listen to what the Citizens want because others will follow UK.

Not necessarily. America and Great Britain obviously have strong relations, and Britain being in the EU was a way for America to get somewhat of a voice in the EU. With that gone, America, and ANglos in general, will be less influential in Europe.

This counterargument makes no sense unless you're inferring the US was using that influence to hobble europe.

So Trump just landed in Scotland this morning. Then said this.

Just arrived in Scotland. Place is going wild over the vote. They took their country back, just like we will take America back. No games!

Interesting.

It's one thing to allow immigration in a controlled manner to maintain your populace but it is wholly a different thing to open the flood gates because you want to see European culture and society be wiped out and replaced out of a PC cultural Marxist glut trip that dwells in the past and that approaches committing cultural and sovereign suicide.

This must be why the Brexit and Trump people are all closer to 100 years old, and the new multicultural gen is on the other side.

Then when giving his talk at the golf club reopening he completely squandered tit by opening his speech with how great the suites are, the new café in the lighthouse is and how great the inspectors and preservationists were to work with

A blow is dealt to the utopian dream of a one world government.

Score one for majority rule. The voters still have a say. At some point this will no longer be allowed. "Smarter people" will make these decisions.

obviously the stock market is taking the plunge. people smarter than us know that leaving is a mistake which will make the UK weaker.

waiting now to hear from all the pro-exit to tell me how me & every economist and speculator in the world are wrong.

The market is taking a plunge because the people are doing something unexpected, not being sheep. The result was completely unexpected, thus people's notion of stability is skewed a bit right now. It'll settle down.

Jesus, this is going to create a mess. Scotland will want to leave, Northern Ireland will start fighting about joining the rest of Ireland again (or becoming independent), Europe is severely weakened and Russia will be licking their lips. Creates a real geopolitical nightmare, let alone the economic side of things. I'm all for giving the finger to the 1% and Ze Germans but could have done it some other way.

There is still NATO, not to mention a lot more cooperation behind the scenes. Relax.

I think the real concern is that the UK stands a better chance of fully breaking apart now-recall that Scotland narrowly voted to remain within the UK only 2 years ago. They are probably still better off within the England (economically--leaving to join the EU would be like adding another Greece), but there is no love-lost between those territories.

ditto Ireland.

But that's small potatoes--this now sets precedence for citizens in other nations to rethink being tied to the EU anchors. Say if any of the Scandinavian nations start thinking about leaving, or of course Germany.

NATO is something but it's only a military/defense alliance and has no economic/trade mandate, afaik.

I wonder what the aggregate number of teeth was for "Leave" voters. I'm guessing between 11 and 16.

I wonder how many of the financially well off on the BREXIT side shorted the market today? :hmm:
