Tobacco Swab Test

I have to take a swab saliva test to check for tobacco use for a life insurance policy. I usually don't smoke, but the other night I went out with some buddies and smoked some. Does anybody know if this will show up? I have not smoked in months before this.

Mouthwash and gargle like a madman. Brush a few times with that whitening stuff, and pray you don't miss a spot. Tell them that you were out with friends that were smoking the other night, but that you didn't smoke any. Perhaps they'll believe it's 2nd hand?

Its a saliva test, so I don't think it will work.

Are you 100% sure it's a saliva test? I'm pretty sure most of the big insurance companies use urine tests now.

If you really are NOT a regular smoker, you should call your insurance company and cancel the underwriter appointment. Don't smoke for 3 weeks, then call them back up. If you take the test, and fail for niccotine, you just joined the smoker club. Period.

If you are a smoker, and you are trying to screw the rest of us by deceiving the insurance company, well... thanks a ton.

I no longer have it. I had to get it as part of my job so I had no choice to lie to make the big bucks 😀
