I hate this choice, do I get the....

I've only tried HL2 and FarCry with widescreen so far, and both work great. I'm pretty sure all newer games will support is now that widescreen displays are becoming pretty common.

There have been a lot of threads on 2005 vs 2001. Try doing a search. A by the way, most games can be modded/edited to support widescreen format so that is not too much of an issue. For me, its wide screen all the way. No way will I settle for anything else now that I have tasted it!! 😛
