We keep getting letters in the mail for a subscription which includes: domain name submission to 14 established search engines, quarterly search engine position and ranking reports for eight keyword/phrase listings from 14 major search engines.

I'm not going to do this, but I felt it was probably worth something to some people who want their sites more prominently listed. (Then again, it didn't say it would cause them to be listed higher.)

It might have been worth a dollar or two to me to have my site listed, but $35 a year?? Huge ripoff? Or just a minor ripoff?

(I believe you can get your site submitted yourself; my own site can already be found using a google search, so it's a moot point anyway)

Hmm, google, msn, yahoo, ect ect crawl my site for free. Not sure why you would pay for it.

I have a feeling that the search engines it's listing you on are those that you get to when you typed the wrong URL in the bar. You know, the ones that no one with half a brain would use?

100% scam. There are a select few services that will legitimately show you how to increase your Google ranking, but it's gonna cost a lot more than $35.
