That is the too-obvious question

AMD Thunderbird 1.33ghz 266fsb OEM + Fan + Heatsink : $142
AMD Thunderbird 1.33ghz 266fsb Retail : $160

$18 for a 3 year warranty as opposed to a 30 day warranty. I don't plan to overclock for another two years. Comments? I'm torn.

Thanks!

I say get the warranty... $18 is not that much money, but you get the peace of mind...

if you damage or burn it,
you can try to claim warranty exchange from amd directly,
just say it doesn't work.

for such small price difference, not worth to save few bucks for oem.
