to upgrade or not

should i upgrade my 680i and go for 4850 crossfire? or just add cheap 9800gtx/8800gt sli to this setup in my sig, or 780i and have room for 3way sli...prices seem to be good and i am playing at 1600x1200 or 1920x1200, maybe dell 30" lcd in 6 months or so

You could just wait for the 4870 x2's to come out and stay with your current board.

then decide from there if you are satisfied with performance or not.
