I am getting this case sometime this week. My question is---> It is possible to mount any fans in the top PSU area?...

For whatever crazy reason I may need to block the rear exhaust fan and was wondering if I could place fans in the top PSU area to compensate. If I can, what size fan fits?...my guess is perhaps 80mm x 2 perhaps? --- thanks in advance for any replies.

What do you plan on doing anyways? The upper fan has some pretty good airflow already so not sure if you'd need some noisey 80mm anyways. If you don't think the upper fan will hang....Just change it out for 3 120mm fans with the airflow requirements you'd need.

The p67 ud7 blocks the use of any extended pci express 1x card (rendering useless my X-Fi)...so I bought a flexible riser card. Now I am not sure where to place the X-fi...thought I may just duct-tape it to where the rear exhaust fan is located ---kinda lame, but at least I can still use my sound card (and yes, I do think onboard audio su*ks with headphones, which is what I use to game).

anyway, I thought it might help if I could place rear exhaust fans in the top psu area though.

Also, FWIW, I broke a fan blade for the rear 120mm fan in my 932 last month...big fingers FTL.

While I waited for the replacement to arrive from Newegg, I just left it unplugged. I didn't notice any rise in temps for CPU or case.

that's what I have always felt anyways...it is the positive pressure pushing air in that counts, negative pressure (pulling hot air out) isn't as effective.

Well, IMO, it can be very effective if you have lots of heat-producing components. Having a well balanced system with a bit more positive airflow is (IMO) to be desired over having a system with negative airflow characteristics.
In the HAF 932, between large fans that do a good job of quietly moving air, lots of room inside for the air to move, and being built so that ventilation is easy to accomplish, I don't think the loss of the rear fan will be a big issue, HOWEVER, if you cover up that fan grill, you'll lose some of the ventilation capabilities of the case. I'm using a Noctua NH-U12P SE2 cooler with the fans pointed toward that fan grill, so they did a pretty good job of pushing air out of the case. If that's blocked off, you may see a slight rise in overall case temps.

I hear you that's why I'll try to avoid blocking out the rear exhaust fan...but if I do will use three 120's across the top and still try to see if I could some how find a fan to place in the vacant top PSU area.

If you really cared about the audio quality you wouldn't be using a sound card and should probably be using an external DAC.
