To those who "smoke". Who introduced you to it?

So for those who smoke pot who introduced you to it. My guess would be friends for the most part. At a party probably. However I know of people who had their first experience with family (usually some cool aunt, uncle or cousin). I have yet to try it but I've been offered before and will likely try before long.

Not condoning drug use but I use to do it regularly. It's nothing special. Try it out and see if you like it. It's not hard like other drugs but different ones will give you different highs and some will be easier to smoke and others won't. Oh and smoking out of a blunt/joint really sucks. You lose a lot of TCH that way and wastes the weed. I wonder how long it'll take for this to get locked.

It really is crazy the percentage of the population that does here. It's right but there with casual drinking.

as to the OP, I think I was "introduced" to it from seeing my brother and his friends smoke, but I didn't smoke with them. Wasn't until a friend offered right before freshman year in college, and then not again until the summer after freshman year... then it was pretty much daily.

I know that I introduced a lot of my friends to it however.

My cousin offered me some the other day. I went out to dinner with her and her boyfriend. I turned her down because it was the end of the evening and I was about to go. I was tempted though and might try some next time I'm over there.

I started when i was 18 just out of high school. WAs with a buddy who had done it for years. i smoke a few times a week, sometimes daily sometimes not. Stopped for a year, another time i stopped for 6 months, been a off and on thing for the last 10 years.

Medicinally I've made olive oil + garlic + hash/extract in capsules that's dosed.

Cap 1 = Potent Sativa strain for when I have a Crohn's flare up (usually stored away)
Cap 2 = Low (THC) potency strain high in CBD for the anti-inflammatory affects. This does not get me stoned at all.

If I'm having a hard time falling asleep I take the same low potency strain, Vaporize a bit and fall asleep within 30 minutes.

Ah, probably my two best friends in my senior year of high school were the ones that introduced me to it. We all kinda were new to that sorta thing. A year after that I became a near-daily smoker for probably a couple years. Couldn't pay me to take a bong hit now.

Yes because Sativas (or Indicas bred with sativas to mimic Sativas) contains a higher THC:CBD ratio which is what actually increases appetite but unfortunately (or fortunately when you want to) gets you stoned.

I've repeatedly complained to my GI that I have severe appetite issues but I was only once given appetite stimulating medication (Metoclopramide 10mg). He refused to refill it once I "recovered enough". This was after a very bad flare up and before I discovered the wonderful properties of Mrs. Mary Jane. So far 1 cap once a day (before bed) has helped with:

Maintaining Appetite
Curbing Depression
Maintaining a regular sleeping cycle

The first time I smoked I was with the group of friends who I'd just rented our first off campus house with. I was 20. To this day, it's still my favorite 'high time'. We sat on a rug in the living room of the house because we'd just gotten the keys that day and there wasn't a stick of furniture in the place.

I named the MPLS city buses 'giant toasters' on the ride back to campus...
