To those of you play the Mac version of Civilization IV...

Around the time when B.C.E. becomes C.E., the game starts stuttering pretty bad. I checked Activity Monitor and it showed that Civ4 was only using around ~300MB of RAM, leaving 1.2GB "free". Is this just how badly the Mac version is optimized or is there another problem? Can someone with the Mac version of the game check and see how much RAM their game uses?

Who made the Mac Port? I have heard that Aspyr is topnotch, but whoever made the port of Heroes of Might and Magic 5 really screwed up (cannot think of the company right now)

Have you looked to see if there is a new patch for 10.4.10? Maybe that is it.
