In a recent thread about AMD R9 290X benchmarks, one our members pointed out that the OP of that 290X thread, presented benchmarks that appeared not to be his. Identical benchmarks were found to be posted by another person, on another video card enthusiast, website.
We mods, launched an investigation. When confronted with the facts we gathered, along with the conflicting stories of the benchmarks and their ownership, the OP of the R9 290X thread gave evasive and ambiguous answers, which did not pass muster with the mods.
On top of what we considered shilling, (based on his affiliation in his sig), further communication with the OP gave us more answers that were disingenuous as well as dishonest. On top of all this, he did not even have possession of such a card.
To preserve the integrity of this video subforum, we mods and admins were left with no other choice, but to ban this member and post this announcement of our collective actions for the video card membership here.
