To The Poster That Posted The BCS Ranking Based On Last Year

There's a lot of grumbling about how Auburn could be left of of the title game even if they run the table. Could you do a calculation based on last year's system in which strength of schedule and quality wins are counted? I'd like to know if it's still USC and OU or USC and Auburn. Thank you!

I don't do the calculations, but here they are:

1 USC 2.30
2 Oklahoma 2.76
3 Auburn 9.40
4 Cal 11.06
5 Texas 12.82
6 Wisconsin 15.20
7 Utah 17.54
8 Georgia 21.06
9 Michigan 21.44
10 Boise St 22.02
11 Virginia 26.06
12 Arizona St 28.04

note the HUGE difference between Auburn and #2. Auburn has no quality win points right now, and there's virtually no chance that any of them will be quality wins by the end of the season.

USC has quality wins over Cal, and possibly Arizona State by the end of the season. Oklahoma has a quality win over Texas.

For Strength of Schedule

USC: 10
Oklahoma: 4
Auburn: 59
California: 9
Texas: 8
Wisconsin: 85
Utah: 86
Georgia: 34
Michigan: 36
Boise St: 63
Virginia: 54
Arizona St: 1

Thank you. I have no idea they are so far behind. All the rumblings for nothing. The SEC is nowhere as competitive as I thought. USA Today consistently lists the Pac-10 as the toughest conference so far.

I am from Oklahoma, and a Sooner fan .... but I am not to impressed with OU this year. They have won all their games, but certainly squeezing wins against teams like Texas A&M and Oklahoma State is far from what you'd expect from a #2 vs #22 team. Of course, those were away games....

That's the thing about OK. They can win by a 77 point blow out or squeak through with a few goal, people just don't respect them as they would say a Miami, even though Miami seems to be on a downward slide the past few years.

Nobody has really seperated themselves from the pack this year.

Edit: this coming from an USC fan.
