Jeez, networking is harder than i thought. Anyways, i am using a homepna 2.0 phoneline network for my 3 computers. I have cable internet as well. My cable modem connects to an ethernet adaptor, however my NIC'S are home pna phoneline NICS. They don't have the ethernet port, only a phoneline port. Now, i have some regular ethernet NICS as well. Do i need install both the regular NIC and the phoneline NIC on the HOST computer for the sharing to work. Also for my host pc, what do i put in for the IP addresses on the two NICS. On my ethernet adaptor i have my ISP's ip address configured. On the phoneline nic should i put in the ip address. I have 2 other comps, so what should i put in their ip addresses as well.

if the server is using win2k, just enable ICS for the phoneline LAN. it will reset itself as a DHCP server and u dont have to do anything with the other client comptuiers

You will need 2 NICS in the system that will connect to the Cable modem. The NIC that the modem will run on will need to be a 10/100. The other NIC is the PNA. Hook up the cable modem first and let it set your IP and DNS (auto). Once you get that running fine then tackle the network.

Plug in the PNA NICS to each sytem, install the drivers, and hook up the lines. Install ICS on the computer that has the cable modem (only that one!).

See Here for the rest of the details. Sorry gotta run...
