Ive done it before, I dont have tables, but my friend does. If you have a decent mixer its not hard at all.

Just depends on how well you differentiate sound and how rhythmically inclined you are. =P

Like everything else... for some it's easy, for some it's hard.

whoever says that it isnt hard to beatmatch is dead wrong. Beatmatching while having it sound good is hard, not to mention that you have to get 2 good tracks that go together. Thats why there arent a lot of great dj's. Takes years to perfect.

Best way to learn or at least start learning is to get two of the same records, have random speed and places set on the two records and then try to match them up so they play as one song.. once you get good at that then start trying different songs and attempting to beat match them.. it takes a lot of practice.. anyone can do it but not everyone can do it well..

What helps is a little knowledge of the music you will mix.. such as in Electronic music it is damn near impossible to mix Trance with Jungle or even House without it sounding like crap if it's even possible.. differences in BPM is not the only reason but it's the main one.. I say stick to a Genre with the records otherwise you are setting yourself up for failure if you try to mix two different genres of music with eachother.. unless you get really good I wouldn't recommend you try that just yet..

It isn't too hard once you've learned how. It takes practice. I am getting pretty good at it, I can succesfully beatmix a rap song into a pop song and have it sound good(if you don't know, they have VERY different style beats). Its also alot easier to do on a dual CD player than turntables, but there are so many other things that you can do on turntables.
