to the Administrators/moderators

I have an issue about a moderator who seems to come on mostly in the evening...IMHO he/she seems to have a VERY itchy trigger finger when it comes to the lock button...I see more locks @ this time than any other time in the forums....Again IMHO if this particular mod doesn't like the topic or disagrees w/ it, bam lock city regardless of the fact that there is some interesting info or facts in it...today several locks were initiated on threads however a thread w/similar ideas and info that has been up and down on the boards for the last 4 days is currently allowed to exist(again IMHO only because it was dredged up from several days ago, and there is an Administrator currently logged on or the mod of which I speak has recently retired for the evening) here is the thread of which I speak...this one hasn't been locked yet
again IMHO its because of either (A) there is currently an Administrator logged on or (B) the mod with the itchy lock finger from earlier this evening has retired ...I only wish for a more even hand between the mods when it comes to these type of issues...It makes it not only frustrating but unenjoyable to be a part of this community...can you please address this issue... please??? thank you for your patience w/this post

Some of those topics were digressing fast, the one that you have linked to seems to have stayed on topic and maintains a mature level of discussion, that is why it has stayed unlocked.

As the mod said

Sometimes a topic about a controversial subject will walk a fine line for a while. Sometimes it will cross a line and rapidly degenerate into a worthless thread, at other times these kind of threads develop into some of the more interesting discussions on the forums (IMHO)

The mods do what they consider to be best. Different mods may things differently but I believe all of them do their best to make sound evaluations of any thread they look at.
