What do you think the switch back to 636cc will do to the class? I am curious to see what the new GSXR and CBR models will bring to the table (as I have never been a huge fan of R6's for other than their styling).

Do you like the new looks of the bike? The lime green just rubs me the wrong way.. But I do really like that all black and the extra spokes in the wheels. I wanted a used gixxer 750 for my next bike, but if they keep 636 up for a few more years, that might be pretty tempting.

I don't expect this thread to get a ton of replies but I am curious to see what the AT bikers think.

the lime rubs you the wrong way? must not like kwackers much at all eh?

looks like another middleweight supersport to me

This is probably a stupid question, but would this make for a good first bike? I like the one in black.

No. Firstly..It's too much power for a new rider. Secondly...Who the hell is spending close to $12k on a bike that is their first ride? Get an old beater bike that is in good shape and ride it for a season, then pick up that bike 1 year used or on a close out sale.

Just give me a weekend at a track on one of these things with a suspension guru there to tune me in and I could seriously hang up my riding boots and never look back.

Ah, ok. Didn't see the price either.
