To run Photoshop, how much ram is needed ?

Going to build a AMD Tunderbird 1GHz system for a coworker. It's going to be a high or higher end system with a DDR agp vid card but no SCSI. His wife needs to run Photoshop on this as well. How much ram is needed then ? PC 133 or PC150 ?

Thanks.

128 would be ok...but 256 would really do the job. since the ram is so cheap right now i would put 256mb of ram in.

You don't need a lot of ram to run Photoshop. 128mb is fine. However when you start editing large files the situation changes. The question is what type of files will she be working on? If she is going to be editing gifs and jpegs for a website 128mb is fine. But if she is a graphic artist and is working on 300mb+ files then you will want way more ram 512mb+.

Burn,

I'm thinking it'll be more along the lage file sizes you mentioned. Going to look into the 512+

Thanks people.

Another thing, ram is way cheap right now. You can get 512mb of high quality memory for around $350.
