To RMA AMD XP CPU.. do you need a sales receipt?

i was wondering if i need a sales receipt in order to RMA my broken XP CPU.
on the manual.. it says that i need a proof of purchase. i am not sure if receipt is the only way to proof.

Well if that's the whole story, I hate to say it but you're screwed. You can always use it as an ornament on the X-mas tree or as part of your key chain though. :)

Well if that's the whole story, I hate to say it but you're screwed. You can always use it as an ornament on the X-mas tree or as part of your key chain though. :)

arrrrgh. oh well, xp1600+ cpus are only around 45-55 now days.. :)

oh btw.. since you mentioned it.. how do you make a key chain with CPU/RAM stuff? i've always wanted one of those suckers. ;)

Yeah, and with a good board you can get that baby up to 166 FSB on 1.75Vcore. Go for it. :)

You could to a Savon and buy a key chain that's as big as your AXP and just crack it open and stick it in there. However, usually the coolest looking key chains with chips in them are the pre-made ones you have to purchase.
