My cousing (his whole family is Ford oriented) has had three Lightnings. He just bought a new red one about 3 months ago.

I would suggest you spring the $$ out for the real thing.

But hey it is your money ;)

Its just the front bumper, not the entire kit. Wings West has a horrible reputation for quality as well (ask any Supra owner).

Thats all bling bling anyways. Keep your F150 stock and save of for the real thing.

It looks retarded. Sure you'll be able to smoke me in a straight line, but as soon as you have to turn, or park, you'll get a harsh reminder that it is in fact a truck.

thing is.. no he wont even smoke you in a staright line. His truck isnt a lightening, he just wants to get the bumper so he can make it look like one. I think thats what he's sayign at least.

Nah, don't do it. It will look goofy. Plus, people will be laughing at you all the time when they see that it's not a lightning.

That would be almost the same as me putting a Type-R badge on my LS.

Nope.

LOL you guys are dorks that doesnt look anything like a lightning, nor is it supposed to. Its just a purdy body kit. And yeah radeon I know that particular auction was for the bumper only, buy they sell the whole kit too.

Now guys - I plan to lower it a little either way - so you think I should get bags or just a regular drop kit?

Why don't you make a l33t bumper out of papier machete and colored electrical tape? And why not just lower it the correct way by cutting off some of the springs and letting the air out of your tires?

I have always just used trucks for hauling junk around, not racing or picking up women. To think what I've been missing out on...

The only aftermarket plastic that should be on a truck is a bedliner.

I dont understand a lot of you guys.....why it it not acceptable to add aftermarket parts to a truck, but its fine for a car? By lowering it and adding the body kit it wont hurt its functionality at all........maybe lose a little bit of cargo capacity and what not....

Why are you guys so againt modding a truck?

Oh and Michael1897 - "rice out a truck? are you on crack? then again it is a ford f-150 rice away"

Trying to bash ford there? Why dont you go ahead and check the numbers.......oh thats right ford has outsold all other american truck companies for the last 10 years

The "ford is crap" era is over, every company has its duds...some had many.......but ford is no longer the junk that chevy owns think it is. Sometimes a little jealousy comes into play.

It is rice because you are trying to make it "look" like something it is not

Adding a lightning bumper to a plain old F150 is like putting a Type R badge on an LX Civic. Not much difference if you ask me

If you want to make a real lightning, go to the dealer and get a real one, with the SC whine

Guh. How insecure must you be that by the time you have enough money to buy your own car/truck you still have to "pimp it out"?

Guys.....have faith that if I had ~$35k laying around I'd have me a lightning.

Other than that, I dont see whats wrong with making it look pretty. I mean obviously Im not trying to make it look like a lightning. Mine is gonna be extended cab - thus not a lightning.

I mean its just like say a fake christmas tree....why buy a fake one? Perhaps the person doesnt want to spend the $$$$ every year. Perhaps theyre happy with thier cheaper model?

Replace "pretty" with "cheesy" and I agree 100%.

What the hell? Why are some people incapable of comprehending some things? Its called buying a vehicle within my budget, and making it look nice. Its kind of like buying a fixer-upper house. You buy it cuz its affordable, and you know if you work on it you can make it look nice.

Whats so hard to understand there, turbo?
