had to prove to my teacher that amdtechtour.com really did belong to me

added on blurb in bold for proof

should that be enough? could he still come up with some way to show i didn't write the stuff? The whois info is all under my name, and i am the only one with access to anything on there.

EDIT: he's a douche that's tough to please

That's kind of crappy that he didn't believe you had enough integrity to do your own work but, no harm no foul.

You win!

Your teacher reads your website? How else would he know your work came from the site?

it might help if you figured out a way for the dickwad to save face. (e.g., i guess i can see why you might of been suspicious...) yeah I wouldn't want to give anything to the guy either, but if it helps clear up the situation then why not.

why are you in the class if you already know all the stuff? thats the real problem....the class is geared to your level.

How the hell do you get a C on installing MS> Its either an A or an F. It either works or it doesnt.
Unfortunately, with MS products the installers experience has no relevence on the outcome. :frown:

In theory, you have to quote any existing writing of yours that you use in something new or your plagiarizing... yourself.
edit: I am completely serious about this.

Send him a link to the forum post where you called him a douche. That will remove any doubts as well.

he said i had to add a comment to it....so i immediately thought of that thread :p

Cheers Howard

Transpose that comment over a huge pixelated picture of your middle finger, and a few swastikas throw in there should top it off.

That's awesome. I hope you leave it like that for him to see.

Better yet, I hope he's a member of ATOT, reads this thread, then we all get to flame him for being such a douche.

His physics teacher should know about it.

"True, but stupid." (Me, about a billion time previous to now)

Honestly though, it's almost impossible to say something without at least pratphrasing something you've said or written before.

If you have a professor like nick1985, you sure as hell better quote yourself.

I beg to differ. But in adacemia, writers will often reuse entire sections of pervious works in new ones. They may or may not note this, but it is by no means required. Like if you wrote a paper for your Cold War History class. And then decided to reuse 5-6 sentences (or the whole thing in all honesty) for a relevant PolSci course, not a problem.

I've done this many a time, and what I was completing my thesis (184 page tome that is drier than a desert) I asked my professor/advisor about using a previous work of mine. Said just stick it in and if it was previously published, it might help readers if I noted it, but was by no means necessary.
