Personally, I don't believe in OLED. I think it's going to be a plasma-like technology. Who uses plasma displays? But they have been making them for years and years on end. Heck, the CRT technology has been in use for a whopping 60 years. And it's still dominating. Do you expect LCDs to be dropped once they have just started to fill the market? OLED has some shortcomings that prevent it being widespread, IMO.
There area lots of issues (duration included) but Companies are pouring funds into research as it cost so much less to produce..I suspect the problems to be gone soon as they are starting to produce phones and remember when our LED/LCD watches cost a night or 2 @ the Hilton?
