Hello there everyone! I have the P5Q Pro motherboard and had one little question for you guys. Once in a while, I disconnect from the internet. I was just wondering what is the color on the back of the Ethernet port for you P5Q Pro users?

Is it green, orange or red? Just wondering.

Thank you for reading. :p

Really? Then that means mine is fine as well.

I have an orange light too and the only times I disconnect are when I play Guild Wars (from the trial you gave me ;)). But when that happens, I disconnect from all internet applications.

Hm, perhaps today's just a bad day for me as it's only been happening today.

By the way, Guild Wars isn't too bad, I'm gonna give LOTRO a shot when I find a trial and then decide which one I wanna stick with. :D

Thanks for looking it up videogames101. I appreciate it.

As for me, I once in a while disconnect. It says that my network cable is unplugged and in a few seconds, it comes back online.

Is there a reason why this happening? Is it probably a faulty mobo or are my drivers out of date? I haven't installed any new ones except the ones from the including disc.

I find sometimes my LAN goes dead on my P5Q pro & the only way to bring it back is to reboot, damn annoying!:frown:, anyone know why?
Must admit I haven't tried new drivers.

I've had the same problem also. The network would disconnect all of a sudden and the only way to fix it was to restart the comp. The problem disappeared after a bios update though.

Hmm, I don't recall ever having this issue (I'm sure I would have noticed something like that happening when I was playing online multiplayer games). I did update the BIOS quite some time ago though.

OP have you updated the BIOS yet? Updating the BIOS fixed a bunch of stuff for me including BSODs with my sig build. Also, the LED on my P5Q Pro's LAN is orange.

Interesting, I only updated the bios recentley, I don't recall whether or not I've had the LAN die on me lately.
