To our dedicated RR operators

Yep, that could be done. A script would also have to be written to remove corresponding blocks from Mika's logs. It could simply tear through his logs and remove all blocks submitted by that pproxy, and replace them with the entries from the uploaded log. It could also try to match block numbers which is more work than it might need to do, but is also more failsafe.

Brad probably has this already written, right? 😉

BobberFett,
You wouldn't have to strip them from Mika's logs. You could send the blocks directly to DNet! Then Mika would only have to process the logs, not the blocks. Less work for his machine, and a more direct route for the blocks.

And another thing, the "hosts working for this participant feature" would work again! No more laundering blocks!😀😀😀😀😀

Now THIS idea I like. 😀

Solves all the problems, stats, net traffic, Mika's server load, hostnames, and reduncancy would be GREATLY improved as well.

Good work Joe.

It's actually an idea I've been thinking about ever since Moose mentioned it. Hopefully, we can at least tinker with the idea once the webbox is up.🙂

😀 Yes, BoberFett, I've been doing a little bit of experimenting with the log files. Nothing to "excellent" yet, but it's getting there. I'm still impressed with the remote pproxy updating. Just wait until you get my new sendstatus script. We can now have baby bovine contests.. Yeah... 😉

Brad..
