To NIC or not to NIC...

OK guys, here's my "dilemma" if you will. After ordering my P4P800 delux, I realized: it's got onboard LAN. Now what to do with my old Kingston KNE111TX(not Gigabit, but my hub doesn't support Gb LAN anyway)? Will it help in-game performance if I have a PCI NIC as opposed to an OB NIC? If it doesn't then I guess that's one less driver set to install...

Use the onboard nic - less muss, less fuss.

Put your kingston nic in your spare parts pile. You never know when it'll come in handy.

Most onboard NICs are on the same PCI bus anyway, you may see a difference if he onboard NIC drivers suck bad enough.

Thanks guys... Another addition to "the junkyard" that sits behind me... haunting me while I use any of my computers... Scratching, rattling, shaking, giving advice...
