Does anyone know how I can I delete spam without even looking at it. What I mean is how can I remove it without even checking my email account. But if I can block it from ever coming to my email that will be even better. So does anyone know how?

you can set up message rules in outlook (and maybe in OE).

my account is on a server that marks [SPAM] in the subject header of messages it thinks are spam. If i trust it, i could set a rule to simply delete those messages immediately.

maybe - gmail tells me I have 50 invites left... which makes me wonder: why is it still on an invite basis😕

All spam filters are to some extent false positive as well as false negative. What this means is that there is always some probability that the spam filter that you (or for that matter your email client or email service provider like GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo!) would be using can classify some geunine emails as spam. Thus you would be at a risk of losing such emails in case you somehow automatically delete the spams.
BTW Microsoft Outlook 11 has the feature of automatically deleting the emails it considers as spam without they being classified into a seperate spam folder.
