Hi all,

Quick recap:

Just graduated College, now working full time. I lived in South Jersey on my own for the past 5 years, and then recently moved to a place in North Jersey. I didn't like it (It was too loud cause it was right next to a highway), so I moved out.

Now I'm home with my parents, and have been there for a few weeks now.... and I need to start looking for a place.

I know the area(s) I would consider moving to. As far North as Bridgewater NJ and as far South as Hazlet/Middletown NJ.

So.... my main idea is to try to figure out where I want to move to (obviously closer to work than I am now).

BUT --- my main question, which I want all of you to let me know the benefits of, is...

Should I move back in on my own (my own apartment like I had in South Jersey), or should I try to room with my best guy friend? He's looking to get out too, and if we had a two bedroom, rent would be cheaper, I'd still get my own room, and be around someone more often.

What's everyone think?

Tough call, you can argue either way. If you do move in with your friend I'd recommend establishing ground rules asap before one of you feels screwed when something happens.

Or if you happen to be the one who doesn't clean and always pays bills late, then jackpot for you!

Depends on how good of friends you guys are. I wouldnt want to live with most of my friends, but there are a few I'd even split a bedroom with. Living on your own is nice, but expensive.

Just get yourself a sugar momma. That will solve a lot of problems.

You're young...so save some money and split it with the friend.
I found out that you can usually room with a friend for about 2 yrs before getting tired of each other.

If you move in with him it will almost certainly cause some conflicts between you guys. If you think you can handle it, go ahead and move in to save yourself the extra money. You know how the saying goes... You don't really know someone until you live with them.

If I had to do it all over again I would not move in with friends. They say you dont really know someone until you live with them and I think thats true.

Roommates= cheaper rent

If you have found a roommate that you can stand living with, this can save you big bux. Don't waste money just to live alone, especially when you'll still have your own bedroom.
