Makes these forums look like an nv fan site. If as suggested is true that major fps will be lost to fix this issue, consumers should be aware. At least it doesn't hurt anyone to explore these issues.

they should lock every thread where the Op is purposely trying to start a flame war. Then they should ban the OP.

The last thread did not even mention ATI. And just as it got interesting, locked. I for one would have liked to hear more about this supposed 30% performance drop that comes with fixing the issue.

Well in the vid forum, flaming is the norm. So if I will be booted for asking what makes this subject special .......... Guess I will have to find other things to do with my life.
Why would you like to hear more about it Ronnn? You have no 7800GTX, and have said you won't buy one because you are cheap?

There is no 30% drop. There is a performance hit (noticable) but that is incurred by turning off the AF Optimizations. By doing that the problem still isn't fixed.
As for the thread in reference, there was nothing in there that wasn't covered in the other threads on the same subject.
As for you first comment after my post in the thread, dont look at me. I didn't PM the mods for a lock. They came to that conclusion on there own. I was actually typing a lengthy measured response at the time, clicked reply and boom locked lol. 10 mins of typing *flush*... but its all good

I just wanted to make sure he knew the answers, not the right place to do it though.
In short, they locked those threads because they were either:
A. Causing problems
B. Going to cause problems
C. Have caused problems
D. Because there are already threads with that information
E. Because they can (Mod is God.. remember that and you will never have problems in the forums)
F. None of the above/All of the above
