To minimize or maximize?

When yas mulit-task do you like to keep youre windows minimized or maximized? i prefer to minimize. i cant stand maximizers.

If there's a window open..... it better be maximized. I can't stand scrolling.

The only window not maximized are IM windows..... cuz that would be ridiculous

Actually, since I'm using virtual desktops with both Linux and Windows (I use Geoshell instead of the default GUI), all windows are spread evenly over all available space (4 * 1280x1024).

on topic though, i maximize the window, and then minimize it, so that next time i access it, it will be nice and fullscreen

I'm not a maximizer, except in some applications like Excel and Visual C. I usually don't minimize either. Depends on what I am doing, really. When I am surfing I keep the windows open so it is easy to Alt-TAB to something that looks productive when I hear someone coming. When I am working I don't care about the windows behind, they can be minimized or maximized, doesn't matter to me. When I walk away from my desk I minimize everything in case someone walks by, that way no incriminating evidence is left on the screen (except auto-refreshing ESPN pages that automatically pop the browser window back up after a refresh).
