3 years of law school condensed into a couple months. :D

Good luck in February.

I actually really enjoyed BarBri. It puts the pieces together in a much clearer way than law school itself. As long as you do your homework and follow their instructions, you'll be in good shape.

Thanks.

1. No. I only partially use the degree anymore and havent paid any Bar dues in a couple of years (hence the "& grill" in my signature). There are so many things not to like about the practice of law, including the people. Mostly though, it's boring, soulless work, for not as much money as you'd expect when you divide your salary by hours worked. If you need something to prop up your self esteem, it can be for you, if you're that shallow. Or you can be a (poor) idealist, which I actually admire.

2. Very limited.

3. Was an accountant for 1yr in between and almost sat for the CPA exam. Actually worse than being a lawyer. Even more boring.

No need - the only ones who survive are the ones they wanted anyways.

I have to agree with that, although so much in such a condensed time was a bit mind numbing.

I also strongly suggest that new 1Ls purchase barbri materials from summer bar takers and read the first year review (slowly for comprehension and retention) a couple of weeks before classes start. If you have a hard time picturing the larger freamwork of each subject, it can be a great learning aid. But dont forget to write down whatever footnote, dissenting opinion, or quote your professor has fallen in love with on each issue.

My advice to you is that if you're not completely sure that you want to be an attorney, don't go to law school. It sucks. It really really sucks.

Sometimes I find it extremely interesting, sometimes i view it as the lesser of 2 evils based on all the input I get (I work in financial services and don't see how law can be any worse).
