I just got a 3700+ San Diego and kinda havin second thoughts on it. Originally wanted a 3000+ Venice but I kept being told that the multiplers are too low for it to overclock well. Then again I keep seeing people overclocking it like crazy with air only cooling. Maybe the extra money and get like dual 250gb Hitachi SATA II drives, since the only real thing my new rig is lacking is fast hard drives. What do you guys think?

 Whats your problem with the 3700+? Have you built your rig yet? Have you overclocked it yet?

A little more explaination is necessary

If your just asking which is better. 3700+

If your asking is it worth the extra $, thats subjective and you have to decide
IMO yes, I love my 3700+

San Diego is worth more than dual SATA2 drives. But if you want to pocket the money, well then...

3000+ can't overclock well?

LOL.

I'll posting from a 3000+ venice @ 2.8GHZ as soon as my XP-90 arrives. 100% OC.

Let's be serious.

I just want a 3000+ .90nm CPU.. they overclock like whores, and therefore are just as fast as mor expensive CPU's.

but that's just my take :p

nothing more satisfying than O/C'ing a 3000+ Venice and getting fx-57 etc. performance without paying $1000 for it
