Wasn't Pride one of the seven deadly sins?

Maybe God will take the form of a pasty faced geek throwing ping pong balls shouting "Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt!" only they will actually be lightning bolts and TO goes poof :)

exactly. i think he did go a bit nuts on jeff garcia but otherwise TO is simply an entertaining football player with the skills to back up his talk. the antics in the endzone are over the top but hey, the guy has not been arrested for dope, smacking his SO or running over meter maids (randy moss).

T.O. is O T(ay)

any guy who pulls a sharpie out of his sock and signs a ball in the endzone is a great guy in my book. sure he's got an ego, but he's TO.

I said it in another thread:
To quote Mohammad Ali: It ain't bragging if it's true.

He talks a big a game and then he delivers it right to your doorstep on gameday.
 I would classify TO as "overly confident".

Free will has nothing to do with healing. You have free will to choose whether or not to believe in God.

So let me get this straight, you believe god heals certain people from heaven? I was deffinitely under the impression that it was against free will for god to directly affect a persons life. Doing so would cause proof and negate faith. "Tony can walk again because god healed him, thus god exists, thus you no longer need faith nor do you choose whether to believe or not".

I really hope he does play, and his foot falls off. "Well, Troy, looks like his shoe fell off." "Joe Buck, that's not just his shoe. His entire foot came off and blood is going everywhere." I would pay money to see a career ending injury sustained by TO at some point.

Unless he is playing against a good secondary like Pittsburgh, Washington, Dallas....but the Giants?

Lamest excuse I have ever heard, but surprisingly, it works. People like this kind of stuff.

Great guy, great player, and I hope he does well in the SB, but his reasoning is pretty lame.
great guy ?

Why do you think he isn't a great guy?
have you not heard about or seen his antics throughout his career ? great player - yes... great guy ? wow.

Can you you give some examples of why you don't think its a good guy? I know a little bit about football, not a big fan, so I'm not familiar with his "antics". I've seen news reports of him participating and helping charities and such.
A great guy doesn't talk s#!t about former teammates and call them gay. I think that's all that needs to be said about proving this.

Why would he risk his entire career? I know it's the SB, but if he plays andhe gets it injured again, the injury WILL be career ending. Imagine those screws and bolts ripping out of the bone?

A very "boneheaded" decision.

BUT It may just be a ploy to try to stir up the Pats.. Whom will win the SB anyway.
