I really hope he does play, and his foot falls off. "Well, Troy, looks like his shoe fell off." "Joe Buck, that's not just his shoe. His entire foot came off and blood is going everywhere." I would pay money to see a career ending injury sustained by TO at some point. That would at least make the game interesting...not like the score will be close.

I just want God to let me know what the score will be so I can make a few bucks off this game.

Lamest excuse I have ever heard, but surprisingly, it works. People like this kind of stuff.

Great guy, great player, and I hope he does well in the SB, but his reasoning is pretty lame.

What amazes me are the people who point up to the sky saying it was god that gave them the ability to make a great catch, save, etc. You see baseball and football players do it all the time. Heck, atheletes in all professional sports do that actually. However, when they screw up, none of them point to the sky. Why is it that people claim that "God" is the reason for all the positive things but not the negative? I bet Owens wasn't pointing up to the sky when he broke his ankle. I also would be willing to bet that in the news conference, he didn't say, "Oh, God made this happen."

If you want to get technical about Christianity and the bible, bad things aren't allowed or done by God. Satan is the enemy of humans, and tempts and forces them away from God. Speaking metaphorically, Satan broke TO's ankle, and God healed it. God can no more control Satan than he can control you.

I wouldn't pay money to see your ankle broken, but I'd gladly do it myself if I had the chance...

Wow...why so much anger?

I think he's dumb for taking the chance but you'll never catch me wishing harm like that on him.

Then shouldn't they point down and say that Satan did it? Speaking technically mind you....but shouldn't Satan get the credit he deserves for all the bad things? I am sure Bill Buckner would like to have done that after he bobbled that routine play in the World Series. Maybe the fans wouldn't have been so mean to him.

I guess that is why I am Agnostic. A lot simpler that way. :)

Can you you give some examples of why you don't think its a good guy? I know a little bit about football, not a big fan, so I'm not familiar with his "antics". I've seen news reports of him participating and helping charities and such.

"Bill Buckner, I know it's tough to have it roll through your legs like that. Can you begin to express you're disappointment?"

"Well, if it wasn't for Satan we'd be series champs. Damn him!"

any guy who pulls a sharpie out of his sock and signs a ball in the endzone is a great guy in my book. sure he's got an ego, but he's TO.

I'm sure when Jesus was on the cross he was thinking: "I'm doing this so that one day people like TO can play in the Super Bowl."

I said it in another thread:
To quote Mohammad Ali: It ain't bragging if it's true.

He talks a big a game and then he delivers it right to your doorstep on gameday.

Wait til you find out that he legally changed his name to Touchdown Jesus :)

LOL, looks like God wants him to experience being so close to winning it all only to be snatched back.

<God to TO>I hate the Eagles and you ;)

He might be a bit cocky, with football signing and the going to the dallas star stuff, but it's not like he goes on the field and tries to hurt people. He's not an evil guy, he just talks a lot.

I hate to drag this thread even more off topic but going by Christianity, God won't be healing sh!t as it is against free will to get involved in the mortals, one of those new testament revisions.

Free will has nothing to do with healing. You have free will to choose whether or not to believe in God.

Satan clearly took the gold and replaced it with dirt.
