To Hyperthread or not?

I have a Pentium 4 3.2 with of course - hyperthreading.

I mostly use my computer for gaming. Would I get better gaming performance if I disabled Hyperthreading in my bios?

I found a few applications that are slower with hyperthreading on, but they are rare, and the slowdown only appears where several instances are running.

So I'd say leave it on unless you run into bad OSes or drivers that are not SMP-safe.
