To guitarists..

Broke a string earlier and had to replace some strings. If you're in the market for some strings, check out GHS Boomers. I've been an ernie ball super slinky fan for a while, but these kicked my ASS.

i concur.

My step-dad has used these for the entire seventeen years I've known him. They're alright, that's what I've got on my Yamaha AES500 right now, since they're only $3.84 a set at Wal-mart. I like Elixirs or Fender Nickels.

Elixirs are nice but you don't get the same brightness out of them, at least I don't think so.

You wasted your time how long with Ernie Ball? I gave up on Super Slinkies after they screwed Eddie on his guitar. GHS 009s are all I've used since.

Thanks for the heads-up. Are these acoustic or electric or do they have both? I use a Takamine acoustic w/ Martin strings. 🙂

Well, had a few packs because that's all the broke ass guitar stores sell here in town, I used to use elixirs and fender bullets

I actually prefer the timbre of the Ernie balls but they don't last me even a week of normal playing so yea, GHS boomers. I like the 9.5-52 set recently sold for my shredderiffic uses.
check out my guitar site to hear some serious wankage: http://www.maggotcontrol.com

Yeah, I noticed that they only sound good for a few days then they break all over the place

I'll have to give the boomers a try (I'm a long-time slinky user); a little different guage for me though, my Epi Les Paul loves 11s.
