i need some black guys on here to help me answer this:
i am a white guy, but am into hip-hop culture. i dont dress like im in a rap video, i just like the music. now lets say im listening to my favorite song, and im singing along with the words, and in doing so, the way alot of rap is today, i would probably say the N word. now i can understand if i called someone a n*gger that they would get very pissed, same thing if i was having an argument with someone from another race and they called me a "f*ckin cracker" or somethin. what i dont get is why it is offensive if i were to say the N word while singing along with a song, or in a playful way, like i have seen many black people do with one another. i know it is a derogatory word, but if it is so offensive, why do you use it so freely?
