Not at the moment. This has been baked in the cake for 18 months. I was plenty pissed back in 2011 when the Republicans insisted on this law but I've been rather amused watching them come unglued trying to find a way out of downing the medicine they prescribed.

Personally I am of the opinion that there should have been no Christmas vacations or days off until this was resolved. Want time off or want to spend time with your families? Stop fucking the American public over!

Couldn't agree more, especially with the last sentence.

I've always thought we should rid ourselves of political parties; for all practical purposes it doesn't matter if there's a D, R, I or whatever behind your name, you were elected to help do the countries business. So do it!!

The only path to changing it is secession.

The federal gov is ungovernable, the Congress impassible. So you simply go around them. They only have as much power as you give them. Take it back from them, and the nation is cured of their illness.

That's like saying amputate an arm because of a splinter in your finger. Gerrymandering can be easily fixed by responsible national legislation. The trick is getting the professional party members to do something for the public's good rather than for their own individual good/party good. Dificult but not impossible and makes a whole lot more sense than destroying the country forever.
