To enable CnQ, must you also change to "Minimal Power Management" ?

I was wondering for the Athlon 64s that have Cool'n'Quiet technology enabled, do you have to choose "Minimal Power Management" in the power options? I know you have to have it enabled in the BIOS and have the latest AMD Driver installed, but I didn't see anything about choosing that power option in any of the manuals or anything. However, after choosing it, it does seem to work (if not better)...

So it's best to change to Minimal Power Management, and shut down in THAT mode. Otherwise if you change before you shutdown, the CPU is permanently lowered? Ah...
