To camera folks: A warning about Tristate Camera

I just ran across this today, but I thought that since there's a decent camera user population here in ATOT that it would be good to publicize. It seems that a member of the KM forum on DPReview has been waiting over 3 months to get a refund from Tristate for a USED lens that they sent to him as "new".

Most people here are smart enough to check reseller ratings before buying from a no-name New York camera store: http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2622.html

And most people here buy from the more popular sites like B&H, Beach Camera, Adorama, Amazon.com.

I pretty much only buy from stores that DPReview lists prices for with the camera specs.

It's not no-name from what I've seen. They do a large volume of sales and, until recently, had a decent reputation apparently. I am well familiar with Reseller Ratings, but people who may have had positive experiences with Tristate in the past may not check again to see what's happened lately.

I stick to B&H and Adorama. I've had good luck with them.
