To buy or not to buy: Project Cars (PS4)

I might grab this. I am primarily wondering if the bugs have been worked out.

It seems like the best racing game for the PS4 so that's a plus.

I noticed that it has dropped in price so I might snag it tonight to get me through the lull now that I beat Batman.

Oh and I wouldn't support a developer who made a game with crowd funding and then announces a part 2 and asks for crowd funding again even after they made a decent profit on part 1 and have unfinished dlc. Who wants to guess that many things that would have been dlc for the first game gets roles into the second.

Please don't. I have a hard time restraining myself from trashing crowd funding whenever I can.

I bought, and occasionally play Asetto Corsa on my PC via Steam (have a Thrustmaster T300RS and Openwheeler gaming chair), but it still leaves me wanting. Project Cars is similar in gameplay fashion, so I can only imagine the similar experience. I'm in the same boat as you, no really good racing titles for PS4 other than Drive Club and NFS: Rivals (but those don't hold a candle to Forza or GT).

haha not sure if this is a joke post or not, but it's still lol.

If you pay for all car packages separately it cost $100. And you can't even upgrade your regular game to get the ultimate package, you have to buy the ultimate package separately. Which mean those that buy the Forza 6 console are screw unless you sell your game.

Asseto Corsa is coming to PS4 and Xbox One too. I dunno how it compared to Project Cars.

So far, project cars seems more realistic than Forza. Note that I have not played the new gen of Forza, just the 360 gen.

I am blown away by the lack of cars that Project Cars has. It needs more cars. A lot more.

he track count seems good.

The steering seems finicky (I think I just have to get used to it).

The graphics obviously are good (for the most part). I think the graphics are a bit lacking for a next gen console though. Obviously better than last gen. But I saw my son playing this morning, racing through rain .... and wow that looked good.

I have not played enough to truly comment on the physics. I did get stuck on a hill though because my tires were lifted off the ground. That sucked. I was forced to restart.

I had it on the XBONE, and it sucked. I got a good trade in price for it, right before retail prices dropped to $39.
The only good things are the tracks. Imola and Brands Hatch are my favorites.

The controls (and/or handling modeling)are downright laughable.

I could not keep a Focus RS (or any production car) in a straight line with anything more than 40% throttle. I could not attack a corner without being overly gingerly or without it snap oversteering or inducing some fake as s%^t understeer times eleventy. That isn't realism.
I had an easier time in a fake LMP1 car. How is that realistic or even entertaining?
