hey guys its been a good 8 years since ive been on this website, im glad to be back. Anyways I'm wondering if I should build a new computer or just upgrade my current computer, my comp specs are the following:
i7 930
radeon ati 5870
gigabye x58a-ud3r
4gb ram ( i forget the speed)

I been playing starcraft and heroes of the storm and doing some photo editing and regular web surfing and youtube. So what do you guys think? and if I do upgrade my current computer what would be a good video card to play heroes of the storm on high settings?

Are you overclocking your CPU? Do you want to? If so, lots of people are having lots of success upgrading LGA1366 mobos with [thread=2452707]used Xeons[/thread].

What's your budget? And [thread=80121]where are you and the rest of these questions[/thread]? You definitely need more RAM, but what kind depends on whether you upgrade the entire system or not.

yes i overclocked my cpu. and my budget is around $1800 if i decide to build a new computer, but id rather upgrade my current computer and save some cash as long as its worth upgrading and not obsolete.

Probably twice the ram and the Xeons are good for those these days without a major overhaul, if your Mobo supports them.

I even upgraded a HTPC with a X5650 in it not long ago in the master bedroom I had built with some spare things around, replaced the I7 920 in it.

You should also consider an SSD if you don't have one. Adding at least one more stick of RAM will help too in today's internet, and if you play demanding games a new video card. The SSD and video card can be transferred to your next system build.
