Quick background. I have a 20 inch Sony Multiscane 20sfII that uses the trinitron tubes. Fantastic image. Monitor is getting old and the cable must be shorting out because Im getting random color switches from time to time that only go away when you give the cable a slight move. So....I have thought about either fixing the cable, or getting a new monitor. My wife says I should get an LCD panel. But whats the big deal about LCDs other than the cool factor? Is the image going to be better than the trinitron tubes? How much better is it using DVI connectors?? Should I just buy another trinitron (or fix this one if I can)??? Any expert opinions are very helpful. Thanks.
