I have built my own rigs in the past but i have gone some time without doing it.

I feel I still have the know how in order to complete one but I have a few questions:

Is this a good deal or should i just build a 1000 dollar system?

http://www.walmart.com/catalog....do?product_id=7810488

Pros:

Complete Package
Less Time Consuming

Cons:

Poor dollar for dollar performance
Little upgrades

-----------------

If I built my own I would use it for internet, movies (which is why I like the 22inch screen), and gaming like oblivion, spore(if it ever comes out), and HL2.

I am not a super gaming junky however that HAS to play games on the fullest resolution or any of that mess. Just so it runs smoothly...

I can spend up to 1000 dollars... I have been looking at price grabber.com and it seems like i could make a similar computer equivlant to that bundle for much cheaper.

sorry for my poor spelling and grammer. :p

If you have a 22" you can build a $1000.00 system with an 8800GT and just knock the processor back a bit to an Intel E6550 or AMD AM2 5600+ and at 16*10 the CPU won't bottleneck much.

I am planning on building the budget SLI system mentioned in this months article.

I will be doing some shopping mainly for better memory. If anyone has any idea on how to improve this build do share!

i wont need vista because I already have a copy of XP.

I'll share...

Don't do SLI.

In a budget build, SLI is wasting your money, honestly. Get a single, strong card like an 8800GT.

That would be the best way to go!!
