Deleted my account, as of this morning. I'm stick of their crap. I'm sick of getting friend prompts from FB for casual acquaintances of high school friends of my 14 year old niece. Even though I label every ad that comes in as Offensive, I still get ads for the exact same crap, mostly singles ads. Your Facebook smartphone app is garbage, hasn't worked right in months. The website randomly breaks, preventing me from attaching links or uploading photos, occasionally completely going 404.

I don't need this aggravation, so long!

I've been thinking of doing the same thing. I haven't actually used it in like 5 years. I pretty much just ignore anything that comes my way on it...

Ads to your email or FB Wall? I don't get either. I do get an occasional request from a friend to join some group or game though.

The annoying ones on the site panel, the ones that always want me to sign up for some singles website.

The final straw was the that linked me to a homosexual singles site.

ROFLcopter. Adblock solves that issue easily. I believe you can also set it up so you can't receive any friend requests at all, which takes care of another of your problems. Which phone are you using? The iphone one does everything I need it to and rarely has issues. Photo uploading does indeed suck a big one.

Android. Adblock and the dedicated FB blocker worked, but with FB constantly changing their API, they never worked reliably for long. I didn't see any options in the privacy settings to disallow FB from prompting me to send invites to people I don't know? I did have it pretty locked down so that only I could send invites to people, kept my Friends List clean, only people I actually know.

Photo uploading on the FB app was complete garbage, slow as molasses, even on WiFi to load photo galleries from the app. Touch.facebook.com was faster.

Someone sent a message the other day that everyone's phone numbers are listed in facebook. It seems that if you've ever logged on via some sort of smart phone, it has stored that phone number and has a listing for you with that phone number. I was one of about 3 people without phone numbers in the list I looked at, but my wife's number was there & she doesn't recall ever giving facebook her phone number and said "why would I put my phone number on there?"

I use Facebook via my mobile device all the time, and my phone number is not on Facebook at all.

I need Facebook...

....like I need a bullet hole in my head.

-or-

I'd rather have my face in a book. And by book I mean woodchipper.
