To be fair, the only good game on the Wii is...

RichUK

Lifer
Wii Sports, in particular Tennis and Bowling.

All the rest are poor. They either look poor (from a game play perspective), or are (from my experience) just poor game play.

I had an Xbox 360 but i sold it before all the decent games came out, so roll on PS3.

I just find the Wii incredibly boring now, if I do turn it on it'll be to have a quick burn on tennis and that's it.

Opinions are like assholes. 😉

I'd contend that Zelda is definitely worth owning. WarioWare and Rayman also seem to have gotten plenty of good press.

Also, I never owned a GameCube, so I've been buying used GC games on the cheap and there are some GREAT games out there, though some are hard to find.

/thread

Edit: I pre-ordered Wii Play and plan on getting Sonic as well. For 10$ more I think the WiiPlay/Wiimote bundle will be worth it even if the mini-games only serve as distractions. And Sonic is getting great press even with how badly it tanked on the 360 and PS3. After that though I'll probably just be patiently waiting for SMG, SSBB and Metroid Prime 3. Dewey actually looks decent as well.

Ok, I have Rayman and it bored me after about an hours worth of total play. Zelda bored me after about 30 mins.

I originally thought the poor graphics wouldn?t bother me, but they do and the game play isn?t any better.

I haven't played it, it's one game that has been recommended that I try. But to be honest I've just lost interest.

I wonder if anyone else feels the same way. Some of the games just seem really childish now.

I still play mine regularly. Excite truck is sort of meh to me, but Call of Duty 3 is pretty cool with the Wiimote and Zelda truly kicks ass.

I see what you mean though and if nothing really good comes out in the near future I'm going to run out of Wii games that I want to play. I'm loving the Virtual Console feature too but there aren't all that many games out yet.

I'm still enjoying Zelda, Elebits, Rayman & Wii Sports....all great games, IMO. Once I beat Zelda (just beat Zant), I'm going to pick up WarioWare, Super Swing Golf and Wii Play. Looking forward to SSX, and praying that Sonic is good...I really hate to see how bad Sonic has gotten lately. I'll probably grab Excite Truck when it hits the bargain bin...I get tired of racing games quickly for whatever reason.

Oh and the VC titles have been steadily improving.

with your 360 experiance I would think you had learned something, that it takes a while for good game to come out, maybe just 1 out of 10 games are worth playng

but.. I guess not

So did you buy the Wii because of the hype? Or did you buy it because you enjoy Nintendo's IP and actually wanted to play their 1st party games?

I'm engrossed in Zelda. IMHO it's a very good game I think it looks great too, though not amazing. I don't find anything "poor" about the graphics. Realism doesn't matter to me unless it's important to the context of the gameplay (Splinter Cell, WWII games, etc). I'm one of those crazy people who still love the way Zelda:WW looks.

It was actually an Xmas present from my two house mates and brother. I think their hidden agenda was to use it for themselves.

I quite like games that I can pick up and play without having to spend too long playing in a single session, so perhaps this is why Wii Sports mostly appealed to me. However, Rayman is similar in design but didn?t appeal to me.

I already have 5 games. Never before have I bought so many games for a system so fast. I think there's some great games out already. Zelda is really great. If you got bored of it after 30 minutes, you didn't really give it a shot. It's the best Zelda game I've played.

HA! There's the kicker. Give this guy the Certified Stamp of Fanboy Approval and move on.

Hardly. Can?t a subject of this nature be discussed maturely without the mention of fanboys?! :disgust:

You must be from the lower age group of ATOT. My only interest is in game play. Having owned a fair few consoles now, the only two that really stood out for me were the PS2 and the Megadrive.
